I am barely mediocre, but I love Jesus. And I am thankful to be a Christian and daughter of the Most Holy God.

Here is a sample of my life with Christ, my thoughts and what I have been learning. I do not know much nor am I excellent at many things, but I strive to be excellent for the Lord. Not only in performance, but specifically in heart, motive and in mind…I want to Honor and Please Him above all else, I’m not always good at that, but I do want to try.

I would like to share my life, delicious recipes, running adventures, fun projects and ramblings of my delightful life my husband and I share and God has given us.

Oh, and ps, I am not a writer.

a few things fyi:

My husband and I have a heart for missions. There is much to say about this, but we long and desire to see the nations praise the Lord with white-hot worship in their native tongue.

I love my husband so, so much. We never thought we’d be such advocates for marriage, but God has been truly gracious to us so far. We were married in December ’09.

As of December 2011 David and I have applied (Thanksgiving morning) and been accepted into the Ethiopian program through AWAA…much adventure awaits us!

I love my family and my friends. I love vacations and counting down to life events, whether it is holidays, birthdays or trips to the beach. :)

I love to run. I love spending time with God while I run, whether it is praying or just thinking about life, often it is such a rich time and very refreshing. I try to eat in a way that is God honoring and that will nourish my body in a healthy and rejuvenating way.

I took my sister-in-law’s name when I married my husband so I now use my middle initial to distinguish between the two of us. I think it’s fun :)

Easter is my favorite day. All. Year. :D

thanks for stopping…enjoy!

“8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” ~1 Peter 1.8 & 9

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” ~Hebrews 12.1-3
